The song Unstated was created, written, and recorded in one night. Lee and I started messing around with ideas and concept around midnight and by 4 am we had a finished product. The meaning of the song was very relevant in both of our lives at the time and we were able to get out of the way of the music and just let it flow.
lyrics
I found you lost me along the way baby. I held you down but you didn't do the same no. And on these pages there's stages phases phrases left unstated. On these pages there's stages phases phrases left unstated to you. Unstated to you. And though I try and I try to get you to smile I can't deny that when I look in your eyes it looks like I don't matter to you. Don't matter to you. Ohhhh I'll never be good enough for you ooh I'll never be good enough for you ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh. Ohhhh I'll never be good enough for you ooh I'll never be good enough for you ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh. I loved you with every bit of me yes I did. You told me that you don't feel the same you don't feel the same. And on these pages there's stages phases phrases left unstated. On these pages there's stages phases phrases left unstated to you. Unstated to you. And though I try and I try to get you to smile I can't deny that when I look in your eyes it looks like I don't matter to you. Don't matter to you. Ohhhh I'll never be good enough for you ooh I'll never be good enough for you ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh. And on these pages there's stages phases phrases left unstated. On these pages there's stages phases phrases left unstated to you. Unstated to you. Ohhh and though I tried and I tried I got tired of all the crying and I looked in your eyes and realized that I don't need you NO. Ohhhh I'll never be good enough for you ooh I'll never be good enough for you ooh ooh ooh ooh. I realized that I gotta stop living my life for you, now I see ohhh I'll always be good enough for me. I'll always be good enough for me. You do you. I'm so happy. You'll never be what I need. ~ iLana Armida
