This song really hits home for me. This is my parents love story. A lot of the lyrics were taking from a poem I found that my mother had written. When I asked my dad about the night he proposed to my mom he said "It felt like it was us against the world". I combined their concepts and that is how "Sheets" came about"
lyrics
Let’s pull the sheets up over our heads. Let the world spin around us as we lay in our bed. No better place no better feel. So wrapped up in this love I can't believe it's real. Oh so perfect in your eyes. Heart so full of butterflies. I'm so addicted to your touch Baby I love us. It's me and you against the world... Shouldn't be wishing the night away but all these stars gon' hear it anyway yeah. I want you for all of my life. I wish I may I wish I might... Oh so perfect in your eyes. Heart so full of butterflies. I'm so addicted to your touch Baby I love us. It's me and you against the world... Oh lets pull the sheets up over our heads. Oh let the world spin around us as we lay in our bed. Oh so perfect in your eyes. Heart so full of butterflies. I'm so addicted to your touch Baby I love us. It's me and you against the world...
